Getting to Trondheim
The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is situated in Trondheim, which is in central Norway, 529 km north of Oslo. Trondheim is easily accessible whatever your choice of transport. Go to the external pages: www.trondheim.com for more information about how to reach Trondheim.
If you arrive in Trondheim by the airport bus, the long distance buses or the train, they all stop in the centre of Trondheim.
Getting to the campus
NTNU has several campuses in Trondheim. The Conference site is located at the Gløshaugen campus.
Taxi
Taxi ranks are located at: the Railway Station, the Radisson SAS Royal Garden Hotel, Torvet (the market square), Nedre Elvehavn, Nordre gate, Leüthenhaven, and Pirterminalen. To book a taxi call: Norgestaxi, 08000, or TrønderTaxi AS 07373. The cost for a taxi ride is somwhere around 150kr (18 euros).
City buses
Alternatively you can use the city buses. Route #5 serves Gløshaugen, from terminal D3 in Dronningens Gate. The bus runs every 10 minutes until 7PM, and every 20 minutes from 7PM to Midnight. A bus ticket costs 22kr (2.70 euros).
By foot
By foot, the campus is a 2 km walk from downtown Trondheim. A route with starting point at Torvet (Market Square) is described here.
Conference site
The conference is held in the Electro Building at the campus.
