LummoBlocks, created by Mar Canet, Carles Gutiérrez and Jordi Puig, was successfully exhibited in the seventh edition of GLOW 2012, which took place from 10th to 17th of November. A record number of 450,000 visitors spread over eight days visited GLOW 2012 and gave a high appreciation to the light art festival. LummoBlocks is a new version of the legendary Tetris and designed to encourage social interaction amongst people in public spaces. It was the 9th most loved piece of the festival!!

A-me: Augmented Memories is an interactive installation, funded by the Norwegian Research Council, where the user can perform a lifelike brain surgery. The installation was exhibited in the Meta.morf biennale at the Sense-IT laboratory. Jordi Puig at Q2S has been the main responsible for the completion of the installation. The project has been developed under the supervision of Andrew Perkis (IET) together with Aud Sissel Hoel (IKM) at NTNU. Read more at forskning.no.

Q2S Postdoc Ulrich Reiter has been appointed "Distinguished Lecturer" by the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society for a two years term, starting 2013. In the Distinguished Lecturer Program, the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society supports travel expenses for approved speaking engagements organized by IEEE chapters around the world.

The "Flick Flock" project by Wendy Ann Mansilla and Jordi Puig selected by BALTAN and Pixel

As part of BALTAN´s collaboration with Piksel in Norway, an open call was put on this summer for proposals from artists who were specifically interested in working with the tracking and mapping technology Open Computer Vision.
