The "Chroma Space" by Wendy Ann Mansilla and Jordi Puig at the Colorito exhibition

In conjunction with the ACM Multimedia 2010 conference, the Chroma Space installation was selected by a committee composed of Silvia Evangelisti (Accademia di Belle Arti Bologna Bologna Art Expo and Art Director), Pascal Maresch (Director of Performance Media Group at Ars Electronica, Linz), Franziska Nori (Art Director, Centre for Contemporary Culture Strozzina, Firenze) and the program coordinators to be presented at the exhibition "Colorito: An Interactive Renaissance of Colour". This exhibition featured several internationally accredited artists.

The Chorma Space, an interactive installation developed by Wendy Ann Mansilla and Jordi Puig at Q2S, demonstrates how colours can be used to change our perception and affect in an interactive digital artwork. The Chroma Space can serve as a platform for experimenting the novel usage of affective colours in an interactive synthetic scenario. Chroma Space demonstrates the effective impacts of using a stylistic approach to address emotional sensations, by making colors move in space. Wendy and Jordi have conducted a study to assess the impact of exposure to achromatic colours to different interactive 3D scenarios. The results suggest that presentation of colour has an emotional impact to viewers Watch the project's video at YouTube.
