Qitao Gan was born in Hubei, China. He received his B.E. (1994) and
M.E. (1997)
in Computer Science from Xi'an
Jiaotong University and Chinese Academy of
Sciences respectively. He is currently a Ph.D. student
in Department of Telematics, and "Centre for Quantifiable Quality of
Service in
Communication Systems" (Q2S), a Norwegian Centre of
Excellence (CoE) at Norwegian University of Science and
Technology (NTNU).
Qitao Gan was awarded the First Prize Prof. Zhong Zhaolin Schorlaship
from Xi'an
Jiaotong University in 1992. In 1997, he was a Research Assistant in
Institute of Computing
Technology,
Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. During 1998-2003, he has held
Software System Engineer, Project Leader, Senior Software Engineer, and
Process Champion positons in Motorola China. He was awarded the
Motorola China Software Center's Recognition of Contribution Award to
SEI
(Software Engineering Institute) CMM (Capability
Maturity Model)
Level 5 Achievement in 2000.
He is a member of IEEE and ACM.
