Projects:
- CMM/CMMI-based Software Process Improvement (2001-2003)
Plan
and
champion the organization’s yearly software process improvement
implementation activities;
Lead the organization’s transition
to Capability
Maturity Model Integration(CMMI) model from previous successful
experiences in
Capability
Maturity Model(CMM); Cooperate with Software Quality Assurance team
to software project execution to achieve Performance Excellence.
- OMC-R Software Subsystem Testing (2001)
Test on Motorola CDMA System
SuperCell’s
Operation and Maintenance Center
- Radio(OMC-R) software subsystem, including feature
testing, regression testing and test automation.
- 5NINES System High Availability (1999-2000)
Evaluate
the overall availability of Motorola’s wireless
communication systems and propose the improvement plan to achieve high
availability (goal 5NINES - 99.999%);
Evaluated sytems include: GPRS,
iDEN, Aspira (3G core network); Used methodologies include:
Discrete-Event Simulation (with Cadence's BONeS tool), and
Mathematical Modeling (Stochastic Petri Nets, Markov models, etc.).
- DSP C Compiler Evaluation (1998)
Develop C compiler evaluation
tool for
Motorola’s DSP 56xxx Series Digital Signal Processors(DSP); Evaluation includes validation
test,
and performances comparison.
- Parallel Program Visualization Tool for Massive Parallel
Processors (1997)
Develop an automatic parallel program
visualization
tool for some Massive Parallel Processors (MPP) (Japan’s
Hitachi SR2201, China’s
Dawning 1000 series) for performance monitoring and tuning.
- Cache Memory Optimization and High-efficiency Computing
(1995-1997)
Research
on Cache optimization techniques to achieve
high efficiency in some scientific computations (e.g. Matrix eigenvalue
problem).
